Macros (per serving):
Total Fat: 4g / Total Carbs: 33g / Protein: 4g

Good with: On its own.

Other Flavors: Almond Shake, Amazing Mango, Banana Appeal, Chocolate Almond, Chocolate Chimp, Cool Coconut, Gimme Green, Go Go Green, Mocha Java, Oh So Original, Rice Nog, Tiger Chai, Vanilla Pecan Pie, Vanilla Gorilla

Why We Love It: We don’t, really. We so wanted to, but the taste and the texture just seemed very processed and it just felt like we were downing carbs, carbs, carbs. Each bottle contains 2 servings and therefore 66g of carbs and 400 calories. For a healthy filling non-dairy drink, we would prefer going for a fruit smoothie, which might have the same amount of carbs but fewer calories (per our comparison with Odwalla fruit smoothies) and more vitamins and minerals.

Meet the Makers: Based in Emeryville, CA, Grainaissance has been making foods from brown rice since 1979. Their roots are in Japanese foods, and they have a line of mochi (glutinous rice) bake-and-serve snacks, which we actually really enjoy as a gluten-free snack.

Fun Fact: Grainaissance’s mochi snacks come in interesting flavors like cinnamon raisin and sesame garlic. They come in a flat large square that you cut up into pieces, and when baked, poof up to have a crispy outside and soft chewy inside!

  1. This is a wonderful product that (no medical claims here as I’m not a doctor) cured my ulcerative colitis. I had the disease for 20 years taking every type of medicines doctors would through at me. Once I started then stopped drinking this product several times, it became evident that the colitis would “disappear” baffling doctors. For the past 20+ years I have disease free taking no conventional medicines. (Refraining from dairy always helped a bit but would never really help ulitimately. However, I continue to be dairy free)
