Why We Love It: These frozen waffles are a delicious sweet breakfast or dessert! The texture is very similar to other gluten-filled frozen waffles – crispy on the outside (when toasted) and soft on the inside. The blueberries add a little bit of additional flavor and sweetness but not too much. One two-waffle serving contains 35g of carbs though, 6g more than Eggo’s wheat-filled blueberry waffle, which is why we gave it an overall rating of 3 and not 4.
Meet the Makers: Based in Vernon, CA, Van’s Natural Foods was founded originally as a restaurant along the coast of California, and it was there that they first started serving gluten-free waffles. Today, Van’s makes a variety of gluten-free and non gluten-free snacks, breakfast foods and baked goods, with their gluten-free foods certified by GFCO.
