Why We Love It: It’s a pop that’s kid-friendly and good for you! Unlike many popsicles out there that are full of sugar, high fructose corn syrup and artificial colors, this popsicle doesn’t contain any of that stuff, it’s full of fruits, veggies, and probiotics – talk about sneaking in the good stuff into kids (or your) treats! It’s clean and it’s allergen-friendly. The flavor is sweet but not too sweet. You can’t taste the flavors of the individual veggies (beets, carrots, sweet potato) or probiotics, but there is an ever-so-slightly bitter aftertaste to the pops. So if you or your kids are super sensitive to bitter flavors you may want to ease into these, but otherwise, they are totally delicious, totally refreshing and totally fun!

Meet the Makers: Ruby Rocket’s was founded by mom Wendy Makkena in her kitchen, with her 8-year old daughter Ruby. On a mission to eat heather, Wendy started making a green smoothie for herself every morning packed with veggies. One day her daughter asked if she could try some of that “weird green drink”, and when Wendy warned her she wouldn’t like it, Ruby replied with the idea of replacing some of the “weird” veggies with fruit, and the kitchen experiments started from there. Today Ruby Rocket’s makes 8 flavors of fruit & veggie pops, all made using clean plant-based mostly organic ingredients, and all with an added probiotic booster.

Fun Fact: Even their fudge flavor is made mostly with fruits and veggies: it’s got acai, bananas, beets, sweet potato and cocoa in it!
