Why We Love It: This tuna tastes very similar to most other canned tuna’s out here. But where it differs is in how it’s caught and how it’s made. Safe Catch is the only company with proprietary technology to test each of their fish for safe mercury levels. All of their products are GMO, BPA, additive, and filler free. All of their fish are sustainably caught and 100% dolphin safe, as they only use the pole and line method to catch all their fish. The tuna is hand-packed raw in the can as a fillet, and after that they cook it once while in the can so no water or oil is added. The can is filled with plenty of Omega 3s and once you crack it open, there is no need to drain it as you would with other cans because the liquid remaining is all of the natural fish oils and they mix right back into the tuna.
