Why We Love It: You may be thinking, what? Flour made out of fruits and vegetables? That’s right! No nuts, just fruit and veg without any fillers, binders, gums, or really any other ingredients. This is cooking from scratch at it’s finest, with opportunities to make savory or sweet dishes with each of these flours. We tried it with chocolate chip zucchini bread and pancakes. The flavor on both was amazing – the flour itself is not very sweet but does have a distinct flavor that balances very well with chocolate and maple syrup. It is a moist flour though so be prepared for a pudding-like texture, or use it in a recipe that has more dry and less wet ingredients (the batter pours thicker).

Meet the Makers: Founded by Amanda and Jerry Roback in Denver, CO, Anti-Grain seeks to create better food products for those eating a grain-free diet. With backgrounds in the food industry, Amanda and Jerry founded Anti-Grain with lots of experimentation and a rebellious spirit 🙂  Today, they continue to experiment and tinker with their flours, and to share their findings with their audience through social media. www.antigrain.com

Fun Fact: All of their flours are made from U.S.A grown ingredients that have been drum-dried at relatively low temperatures to retain as many nutrients as possible.
